Summer is in full swing, and there’s lots happening at Prairie Gleaners. In this issue, we’re sharing details on recent food shipments to Ukraine, inviting you to visit our booth at the Medicine Hat Stampede, welcoming summer volunteer groups, and looking ahead to our Fall Fundraising Dinner.
Shipments in Spring 2025
- June 19 – 3,360 bags (6 pallets) given to Faith Missions headed to Ukraine
- June 30 – 11,200 bags (20 pallets) given to Global Emergency Missions headed to Ukraine.
Medicine Hat Stampede
July 23-26
Prairie Gleaners will once again have a booth at the Medicine Hat Stampede. This is a great opportunity for us to meet people and introduce them to what we do.
If you are at the Stampede, stop by and see us. Our booth will be part of “Country in the City”.
IMPORTANT !!!
The plant will be closed from July 22-26 as we
direct our time and energy to our Stampede booth.
Summer groups
This summer at Prairie Gleaners we have some groups lined up (some will camp on the property and volunteer with us during the mornings). While some of our regular volunteers are on vacation and/or busy with other summer activities, these groups will enable us to fill up the dehydrators daily and continue to bag the finished product.
We want to wish you all a great summer and if you have a free morning we would love to have you out to volunteer.
Fall Fundraising Dinner
VENUE & CHEF ARE BOOKED! Our Fall Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction is scheduled for Saturday, October 25th at Hillcrest Church. Save the Date!

Every donation to Prairie Gleaners allows us to continue on with the work of providing food to the hungry. If you are wanting to make a donation, you can use one of these methods:
